When it comes to consuming onscreen media, what country is No. 1? Not the United States. Actually, when you tabulate the average time people consume media through their televisions, computers, smartphones and tablets, Indonesia leads the pack, with residents absorbing 540 minutes of such media a day (including multiple-screen multitasking).

The Philippines was the only other country which topped the 500-minute mark, with 531 minutes. The United States was actually sixth with 444 minutes, also trailing China, Brazil and Vietnam.

However, the United States came close to topping one area. America was second in television consumption: Our average of 147 minutes of TV time trailed only the United Kingdom, with 148. (The Atlantic)
