High school senior Amber Squires never had to worry about someone showing up to the prom in the same dress she wore. She made her own—out of duct tape. Oh, and she made a tuxedo for her date, too. It wasn’t easy: Squire’s dress took about 25 rolls of tape (in four different colors and patterns), and Britt’s tux took another 15. She spent about 60 hours physically making the outfits, not counting the months it took to plan. To top it off, it made prom night a bit miserable. “It was very uncomfortable,” Britt admitted. “It was hot, it was like a sauna suit,” but Britt added it was fun. If Squire wins a $5,000 scholarship through the Stuck at Prom duct tape scholarship contest, it’ll have been worth it. (ABC News)
