Nat has just finished her sophomore year of high school and anticipates a summer of hanging out with her friends and working as a lifeguard. Life changes for her in an instant when her older sister, Claire, also her closest friend, is hit by a car and critically injured, falling into a coma at the hospital.

Would You describes Nat’s emotional struggle to grapple with her “new normal.” To whom is she going to talk to about this when normally it be Claire? How should she deal with Claire’s state between life and death? Should she face the possibility that Claire may never recover?

Jocelyn hooks the reader with true, raw emotions, having experienced this herself as a teenager. Although I recommend this secular book, as a believer it feels incomplete not to have God involved in the struggle.
