Leaders Who Last
Dave Kraft
Crossway, 2010, 155 pp., $14.99

Kraft is a leader practitioner—not theorist—who serves as leadership development pastor at Mars Hill Church in Seattle. His experience shows in this accessible primer for the next generation of leaders. This book, which reads as if you are sharing an afternoon with a trusted mentor at a coffeehouse, is full of stories, examples, questions, lists, insights and wisdom.

New and seasoned leaders will find Leaders Who Last a valuable, practical tool that can help them develop their own leadership. It also can be used for periodic reflection and self-assessment. Though it’s a good overview, don’t make this your only book on leadership. Kraft is writing about biblical leadership in Christian settings, but Christians in other settings may benefit, as well.
