Canfield, a leading provider of insurance and management solutions, is partnering with SafeSchools to create safer learning environments for their insured districts throughout Washington State. Districts insured through Canfield now will have access to SafeSchools Alert, a new online incident reporting and tracking system that allows K-12 administrators to receive valuable safety tips from students, staff and parents, 24/7/365.

Bullying and violence is at the forefront of concern for administrators nationwide, none more so than in Washington. In 2010, the State Legislature expanded the existing Harassment, Intimidation and Bullying (HIB) legislation to include cyberbullying. The revised law also stipulates that districts must designate a primary HIB contact person to receive all HIB Incident Report Forms. To help districts comply with these new mandates and safeguard students, Canfield purchased SafeSchools Alert for their member districts, making them the first insurance provider to do so.
