Kutless, tobyMac, BarlowGirl, Red and Pillar are some of the Christian artists participating in Camp Electric, the second annual rock ‘n’ roll fantasy camp for students ages 13-18 in Nashville.

Camp Electric will offer two five-day camp sessions–June 28th-July 2nd and July 5th-9th on the campus of Trevecca University in Nashville. Daily sessions with top Christian musicians will offer “hands-on” instructional sessions, personalized tips and tune-ups, opportunities to perform for industry professionals, and overall encouragement toward spiritual and performance excellence. Vocals, keyboards, drums, bass and guitar will all have individualized instructors.

Meanwhile, Power Chord Academy, an organization offering music camps for teens, is now offering one- and three-day summer camps for teens who want to polish their video-game musicianship.

The camps, titled iROCKER and GameROCKERS, respectively, give attendees the opportunity to play Guitar Hero and Rock Star, two popular video games that allow players to “perform” popular and classic rock tunes on virtual instruments. Students have the opportunity to “play in bands, write songs, record songs and play a final concert and Battle of the Bands!”

The three-day GameROCKERS program runs $795, not including travel expenses to one of the Academy’s “campuses” nationwide. The iROCKER program costs $295.
