An apple a day may keep the doctor away, but an Apple iGizmo will make teens very, very happy. When it comes to youth, Apple is the hottest brand there is right now. A new survey by Piper Jaffray found that more than half either already owned an iPhone (17 percent) or were planning on buying one in the next six months (37 percent). More than a fifth own or have access to a tablet computer—a segment currently dominated by Apple’s iPad—and another fifth plan on getting one soon. As far as MP3 players go, there’s really no contest. Of teens that own one, 86 percent own an iPod. The next closest competitor? Microsoft’s Zune, with 3 percent of the teen market. (Business Insider)
