Pizza may be good, but it’s also a leading cause for weight gain among kids, according to a study published in Pediatrics.

Researchers say pizza can account for more than 20 percent of a children’s total caloric intake for the day, and it’s loaded with saturated fat and salts. They compare it to soda as a leading cause for childhood obesity.

“We are having too much of some of the wrong ingredients,” said nutritionist Rachel Beller on “Good Morning America.” “Pizza can be great if it is done right with the right ingredients. It just deserves an upgrade.” (ABC News)
