A new study finds that teen girls still love to tan—even though they know it’s dangerous to do so. According to a new study by the American Academy of Dermatology, 86 percent of the teen girls and young women who use indoor tanning beds know tanning can contribute to skin cancer. Nearly half (48 percent) know someone who either has or had skin cancer. Still, for the average sun (and ultra-violet light) worshipper, the benefits of tanning still outweigh the dangers. Two-thirds of all tanners believe bronzed bods look better, and 87 percent of indoor tanners think dark tans are attractive. (Los Angeles Times)
