A college football coach is blaming a recent loss on the release of “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.” The coach, Charlie Strong of the University of Louisville, believed the game was becoming a distraction as he followed his players’ Twitter accounts and saw how much they were talking about it. He blasted his team for its lack of game dedication—that is, football game dedication—during a meeting. “This video game is that important?” he recalled telling his team. “We’ll see how important it is on Saturday.” Louisville lost 21-14 to Pittsburgh, gaining just 73 total yards. “We let a video game take control of us,” Strong lamented.
