Teen pregnancy rates continue to go down. Experts say at least some of that decline can be pinned to faith. According to research from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the number one reason teens say they haven’t had sex yet is because it goes against their religion or morals. Furthermore, teens who are involved with a religious community typically are less likely to become pregnant.

Research also found that many adults are unaware of promising teen pregnancy trends. Though teen pregnancy has gone down 42 percent in the past 20 years, half of adults believe rates are actually on the increase. (Washington Post)
