The Winter Jam Tour Spectacular 2009 runs from Jan. 8 until March 15, and is Christian music’s largest annual musical tour. Now in its 14th year, Winter Jam 2009 promises to be the biggest and brightest year ever, appearing in arena venues in 35 markets.

In the current economic environment, Winter Jam 2009 projects increased attendance as their recession-proof “no tickets” policy continues to allow patrons to pay $10 at the door for admission.

This strategy resulted in sold-out arenas in 2008, with total paid attendance of 311,836 with an average nightly attendance of 9,172. This accomplishment was not missed as Winter Jam was the fourth ranked tour on Pollstar’s 2008 First Quarter Ticket Sales Chart, topping other music tours including Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus, The Police and Foo Fighters.
