A middle school in Oregon has started using a finger scanning technology in their cafeteria to speed up the check-out process. According to an article in theStatemanJournal, the new technology has caused some concern among parents and the ACLU that this is violating student’s privacy and has potential for fraud.. The article says some parents are “concerned that the prints their children register with the school could be stolen, misplaced or used for a form of fraud that hasn’t even been invented.”
