Ace Collins writes of something we take for granted every day with everyone we meet: the power of our words. Words have power to heal and hurt, even the words we speak to ourselves in the silence of our minds.

Collins reminds readers of the overlooked significance of our greetings, of saying “thank you,” of apologizing, even our prayer and praise. What about those horrible situations in which we don’t know what to say? Challenging and complicating this is technology with e-mails and text messaging.

This little book, a quick read, would work wonderfully in a small-group setting and bring to mind the countless scenarios in which we can improve our communication.
