If your group is looking for a mission that can also be a beautification project, consider approaching the mayor or town council in your area. Ask if your group can be assigned a spring beautification project in an area park, boulevard, or public area. Some projects our group has completed in the past include:
- Planting flowers in public park entries.
- Painting over graffiti, or creating scenic murals in their place.
- Spreading mulch in flower beds
- Sweeping public park gazeboes and wishing picnic tables
- Picking up trash in public parks or along roadsides
Make this a game by dividing into teams, with each team completing a cleaning challenge within a time frame or as a one-day event.
