Nearly a decade ago, Rob Bell launched his popular short-film series NOOMA, hoping to create a new, relevant way to inspire believers and share the Christian faith. Now, with more than 2 million copies of NOOMA videos sold, Zondervan is introducing an application to download, view and share the videos on a variety of mobile devices.

“I has been almost 10 years since Rob filmed the first NOOMA, Rain,” said John Raymond, vice president and publisher of curriculum for Zondervan. “It always has been the goal of NOOMA to be available in accessible, relevant formats. Creating an app for use on personal devices such as the iPhone, iPad and Android keeps in line with the mission to have NOOMA with you, ready to experience them by yourself or with others.”

The app itself is free to download, and it comes with Rain, the first and most popular title in the series. All 23 additional NOOMA films in HD can be downloaded within the app for $2.99. NOOMA is the first in-app purchase app developed by Zondervan and the first app ever launched for Android by Zondervan and its parent company, Harper Collins.

Each film downloaded from the app includes a study guide that contains thought-provoking discussion questions and Scripture. The guides can be read within the app, printed or opened in iBooks or any other app that can read a PDF.

Those interested in downloading the app can go to the iTunes store or the Android apps market.
