Willow Creek has been resourcing other churches for decades. This continues with Reveal, a series of spiritual growth conversations.
Greg L. Hawkins and Cally Parkinson, with contributions from John Ortberg, Bill Hybels and Eric Arnson, study trends in church ministry and spiritual growth, as well as offer strategies for fruitful ministry in the future.
Balancing charts, data and research with debate, discussion and the real-life experiences of ministers focused on growing spiritually and leading others to do the same, Willow Creek Resources offers what they refer to as “breakthrough” and “provocative” discoveries.
However, I didn’t find their revelations to be too ground-breaking. It seems that what Willow Creek offers through these products is just an organized and colorful presentation of what people already neck-deep in ministry would know intuitively or learn better through personal experience.
I value Willow Creek’s desire to see people and churches grow spiritually, but the marketing and design of these products is much more provocative and interesting than the content.
