iTickets, the premier Christian ticketing solution and event source, and Faith Freaks, the largest Christian social networking website reaching more than 100,000 users, recently announced plans to form a strategic partnership.

“We’re excited about this relationship,” said Nick Fama, president of Faith Freaks. “Our focus has been to reach out to youth on many levels. Obviously music and concerts are a large part of their culture. iTickets provides us an ongoing, up-to-date connection with the concert scene.”

Starting immediately, iTickets will stream concerts and festivals to individual Faith Freaks users, based on the users’ geographic location. Plans are under way to allow users to create their own preference filters, as well as to mark specific artists and tours as their favorites.

“When I saw what Nick and Faith Freaks were doing to reach Christian youth, I knew we wanted to be a part of their outreach,” said Ed Novak of iTickets and Christian Happenings. “Hearing how their online counselors could reach out and help kids wrestling with everything from relationships gone sour to suicidal tendencies reminded me how important the message of Christ can be. Sometimes we get caught up in the business of concerts and forget who we’re trying to help.”

This fall, iTickets and Faith Freaks are hoping to use real-time events, such as concerts, as opportunities to reach a youth and bring virtual friends together for real time experiences.

About iTickets:
iTickets, owned and operated by Christian Happenings, was created in 1993, initially as the Christian Happenings Ticket Service. Renamed as iTickets in 1999, it provides ticketing services and concert information to the Christian community from its Columbus, Ohio, office. The company offers free membership to the site, where consumers can receive information personalized to their own preferences and specific to their local region when searching for concert information. The organization works extensively with event promoters providing the most complete box office solution available to the Christian community, as well as a host of promotional services.

About Faith Freaks:
When FaithFreaks.com launched in 2007, its purpose simply was to provide teenagers with a safe alternative to MySpace. Now, in addition to being the largest faith-based social site, it is a place where young people experience the love and power of God in their lives as members pray for and encourage each other. With more than 25 trained volunteers, Faith Freaks helps young people find hope and resources for the challenges that they face. FaithFreaks offers its members the same benefits and features of other social networks but in a safe, moderated environment. FaithFreaks users can create personal web pages, meet friends, upload pictures, listen to music, access the prayer board and join FaithFreaks chat.
