The folks at Beloit College are back with their latest annual “Mindset List” describing the cultural trends impacting the newest class of college freshmen.

The list, which first appeared in 1998 for the graduating college class of 2002, is an eagerly anticipated summary of youth culture trends that have shaped the current group of college freshmen.

Among the highlights from this year’s list:
– “PC” has come to mean Personal Computer, not Political Correctness.
– Nurses always have been in short supply.
– They’ve often broken up with their significant others via texting, Facebook or MySpace.
– They pressured their parents to take them to Taco Bell or Burger King to get free pogs.
