The Life and Faith Tour quickly is approaching, and the excitement is building as word of mouth spreads and the first date of the tour draws near. Kicking off in Richmond, Va., on June 19, 2010, the tri-city tour will continue on to Rockingham, N.C., July 10 and Atlanta, Ga., July 24.

With the goal to leave every city it touches better than it was before, the Life and Faith Tour was created for the sole purpose of giving back to benefit local communities. The citizens are looking forward to the charitable event and encouraging everyone to come out and support the goal while being entertained by an all-star lineup. The cast includes: New York Best Selling author Karen Kingsbury; former “Survivor” contender and motivational speaker, Austin Carty will team with Hawk Nelson, six-time Grammy® Award winner Amy Grant, multi-platinum selling band MercyMe, CMA Award winners Diamond Rio, as well as ventriloquists, comedians, authors, speakers and more.

See what people are saying about the tour that gives back…
“This is such an amazing opportunity for Richmond County—not only for the community to come together but this is an opportunity for the love of Christ to be poured out to many people in need. I encourage you to get the word out about the Life and Faith Tour: Tell your family, neighbors and Facebook friends!”—Roberdel Baptist Church, Rockingham, North Carolina

“The rural parts of North and South Carolina have had so many years of economic setbacks that a little bit of heaven sent in the form of music will do a lot of good.” —Our Daily Bread Christian Food Ministry, Inc.

“Rockingham is honored to be one of the three major cities to be included in one of the biggest Christian music events to come to this area. We are so excited about this opportunity to be a part of The Ultimate Family Experience and to have an event that changes lives spiritually, as well and placing money back into the community’s charities.” —City of Rockingham

The family friendly event is an all-day affair held on the grasslands of the racetracks in each designated city, with multiple tents suitable for all ages ranging from the Kids Corner, Variety Stage, Authors Tent and Main Stage. Tickets are available now for $47.50; $10 of the admission price automatically goes to a local organization. If the ticket buyer doesn’t choose a beneficiary, a default organization in each city will benefit, ensuring that the community benefits from every ticket sold. Organizations will range from local companies to the YMCA, Red Cross and other worthy civic groups. Compassion International is just one of the many sponsors that have climbed on board to help make this event possible. As a beneficiary for the tour, it is an opportunity that not only raises funds for their own organization but also benefits others in the surrounding communities. For ever y 70k people who attend, the tour will provide the funds to build a Habitat of Humanity home in that state.
