Serving and Integrity are two of FCA’s four new books for athletes that cover their four core values. Inseparably connected with these in the Fellowship of Christian Athlete’s philosophy are teamwork and excellence.
In these two volumes, 12 male and female athletes and coaches are lifted up as case studies in the exploration of each of these values. In a world where youth sports can be unethical and lack integrity or much semblance of selflessness, these resources for adolescent teammates are timely and could be used effectively by teachers, coaches and athletes.
However, if you are going to buy these, you should be aware that although there are some big names attached to these books, including Tony Dungy and Shaun Alexander, the writing is mostly about these celebrity competitors and not by them.
