Too often, we understand the Bible through various short stories and propositions, never grasping the full, brilliant gospel.

Andrew Wilson’s GodStories seeks to rectify this. Wilson explains the gospel by showing the continuity between the Old and New Testaments and reveals how God is remaking humanity in His image and redeeming creation. Along the way, he references interesting facets of the biblical story, such as the need for Adam and Eve to have clothing specifically from animal skins and the importance of Jesus rising precisely on the third day.

Written in a very accessible  manner, Wilson boils down thick theology into simple statements. The book is comprised of 56 essays that refer to the biblical story but are not stories themselves. GodStories can act as a primer to the Christian faith for the new believer or as a simple reference for those further along in the journey.
