Camp brings powerful life-change and spiritual growth. It leads to new commitments and decisions in a setting of acceptance and community, but coming home brings challenges and obstacles to the best intentions. Being ready is crucial to help your kids continue their new spiritual growth. It also weaves camp seamlessly into your overall ministry efforts, making it part of a natural flow rather than an unsupported emotional high. For Randy Rainwater, camp is the beginning of a yearly ministry cycle, not the end.

“When we come out of camp, that next month is real important to sustain what God has done,” Randy says. “It’s like He’s lit this fire, and we want to keep stoking that fire—not overwhelming it, but giving it fuel as it’s needed. When we come home, we’re making sure we’re giving kids experiences that lead toward depth—Word, worship and ministry, taking kids and doing ministry with them, showing them ‘Here’s what’s next’ for them and letting them sense God using them.”
