Videographer Dennis Jackson shares this video from last year’s 30 Hour Famine event in Arlington, Texas. His wife, Erin, is Director of Student Ministries at Trinity United Methodist Church. Other participating churches included Grace Presbyterian and St Barnabas UMC.

“The end of the event was the breaking of the fast with communion — then a spaghetti dinner,” Dennis shares. “The next morning we went and did a service project in Waco Texas, serving food to homeless people at Mission Waco’s ‘Church Under the Bridge.'”

Dennis’ advice for youth workers: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and might and love your neighbor as yourself. If you can do famine, do the famine — it is easily one of the most impactful events we do.”
