For this game you will need several large piles of leaves. (Hint: use the prep for this game as an opportunity to do a service project or rake up your church lawn leaves!) You also will need a leaf rake and a medium-sized rubber ball.

Played in the same style as baseball, rake three piles of leaves to serve as the bases. The pitcher then rolls the ball to each batter—with the batter hitting the ball (actually swiping it along the ground)—and then running to first base. Each batter must slide into the piles to be safe. If the ball arrives at the pile before the batter—the batter is out.

This game progresses quickly and is fun to play with a large group (10 or more).
