A recent poll from the Associated Press found about half of Americans feel public schools are doing only a “fair” to “poor” job of educating the nation’s kids. About three-fourths of those surveyed feel schools focus on the wrong subjects (folks want more math taught), and more than half think the quality of education is lower now than 20 years ago.
