Miles McPherson’s newest book is nearly as action-packed as his life. The former pro-football-player-turned-pastor thought Christians weren’t doing much good in the world, so he wrote a play-by-play about how to start.

McPherson, pastor of one of the fastest growing churches in America, motivational speaker, and the founder of the Miles Ahead organization, offers plenty of stories from his own life. Each chapter is designed to move the reader to do something for others, with true accounts of people doing God’s work, tales of Jesus in action (told in the words of an ex-Charger-turned-young-father), and assignments for the reader to accomplish. McPherson also encourages readers to be interactive with his Web site, the place to start when becoming an involved Christian. His infectious energy will have readers dreaming big before they finish the introduction.
