Boyland is aimed at an adolescent female audience. It uses hip lingo and makes the reader feel excited about being a Christian teen. The author uses past experience and current quotes from average kids to make her points. The overall theme is to be true to yourself and in God’s will while encountering boys. The purple pages and funky design make it clear this is for teen girls. Many good tips on dealing with the opposite sex make this book a must-read for a girl’s Bible study.
