One of the things we try and do at all our overnight events and retreats is set up “The Booth,” a private room with a camcorder set up in it. Students are encouraged to visit the booth “Big Brother” style and record their thoughts about the event. They walk in, hit record, share, stop the camera, and walk out. This has proved to be a treasure chest of great video. Certain events (like 30 Hour Famine) provide an amazing look into the students minds as they process what we’re learning and doing. The video can be put on website, used at future meetings, used in promo material, and it does a great job of generating interest for the next time those events come up.
