In Be Last, Kingsley takes the reader into the less visible side of leadership—putting others first. In a very systematic and engaging way, he draws leadership truths out of Scripture for the reader to digest easily. Words like “humility” and “submission” are given their true depth of meaning via Kingsley’s pen.

The concept of “being last” is divided into 10 neatly packaged sections, each with its own angle on the common theme. The book is rich with Scripture, and does a nice job of connecting biblical references to often misunderstood concepts. Clarity regarding how to live a life of selflessness is the chief accomplishment of this book.

Be Last presents a fresh and underrepresented perspective on how to be a Christ-like leader. Although the content is rich and easy to read, the concepts are not new. I think that is the point.
