I would love for every parent in my church to read this book. I thought it was a great explanation of what youth ministry is, examples of what it looks like, why it is important, and what a healthy role for a parent could be. Without talking down to the reader, but also avoiding a textbook feel, the Clarks were able to use real-life stories, personal experiences, and testimonies from parents to give a thorough exploration of youth ministry from a parent’s perspective. I also appreciated their advice to parents on giving criticisms of the youth program, providing resources, and how to pray for the ministry. This is a great resource to have in the church library as well as your personal library.
