Though the Netherlands is well known for its tolerant drug policies, electronic cigarettes may push the envelope too far for the country. The government there has outlawed ecigarettes and water pipes for those younger than 18.

“With this ban I want to protect young people from the damage ecigarettes cause,” says Martin Van Rijn, the Netherland’s health state secretary, in a statement. “I also want to avoid young people thinking that these ecigarettes in hip colors are normal.” (Reuters)
