After hearing that a nearby mosque had been vandalized in what police are calling a hate crime, 7-year-old Jack Swanson of Pflugerville, Texas, decided to do what he could to repair the building. So he turned over all the money in his piggy bank—about $20, mostly in pennies—to the mosque.

“Jack’s $20 is worth $20 million to us because it’s the thought that counts,” says Faisal Naeem, one of the mosque’s board members. “If we have more kind-hearted kids like him in the world, I have hope for our future.” (ABC News)
