The average American child gets about 12.4 percent of his or her daily caloric intake from fast food. On any given day, one out of every three kids will be eating at a fast-food joint.

Experts consider that to be a problem. The Centers for Disease Control notes that America is facing something of an obesity epidemic: In the past three decades, the number of obese children has doubled, while the number of obese adolescents has quadrupled.
