Spring Break is traditionally a time when college students cut out and cut loose—often to beach communities flowing with alcohol and like-minded partiers—but new research suggests revelers are at greater risk on the roads.

Scientists looked at 14 popular spring break destinations and found that automotive deaths in each of those destinations during break time rose 9.1 percent, with higher fatalities among young, out-of-state drivers. The research was published in Economic Inquiry. (Time)
