Some believe Urban Outfitters is idealizing unhealthy weight habits among girls and women, thanks to an ad that seemed to promote the notorious thigh gap.

The ad, which featured a woman with skinny legs in bikini briefs, actually was banned by Britain’s Ad Standards Authority. The organization said the ad was “irresponsible, declaring that a noticeably underweight model was likely to impress upon that audience that the image was representative of the people who might wear Urban Outfitters’ clothing, and as being something to aspire to.” (Ad Week)
