Glow sticks are currently popular—and can be had for pennies simply by visiting the nearest dollar store. Here are two fun and energetic games that can be played with glow sticks or similar products.

Hide Away—Divide the youth group into two teams for this fun night-time game in a wide, outdoor area (fantastic for summer camps). Give each team a fully charged glow stick and ask each team to hide their stick somewhere on the playing field. First team to find the other team’s glow stick wins. This can be played much like “Capture the Flag,” but with added twists, as well.

Glow Disk—Wrap several glow sticks together to form a ring and secure the ends/joints with duct tape. Use the glow disk to play any of your favorite flying disk (Frisbee®) games.
