This activity will require chicken wire and various colored packages of tissue paper (with emphasis on green). First, form several wreaths (16″ diameter works best) out of the chicken wire, taping the cut ends with electrical tape or duct tape. Provide a chicken wire structure for each team of 3 to 4 teens. Invite the teens to use the tissue paper to create a wreath, by stuffing the tissue paper into the chicken wire structure. You also can take this activity up a notch by providing other amenities such as bows, berries and ribbons that the teens can use to decorate the wreaths. Once created, the wreaths can be taken to elderly church members or given as gifts at local food pantries or soup kitchens.
