This week, Apple releases a slew of new hardware scheduled to arrive in time for the Christmas season – including 27-inch iMacs, Mac minis that work as servers, new cheap MacBooks, and a “Magic Mouse.” (Really.) The mouse in question has no buttons, and features a “seamless multi-touch surface” enabling users to scroll in any direction or swipe through webpages just by moving their fingers across the top. The new, faster, 27-inch iMac allows users to connect external sources to use the iMac as a TV or external monitor. The updated Mac mini gets a bump in processor specs, memory, and the option to turn it into a server. The new, slimmer MacBook has lost weight and thickness, and includes a number of hardware upgrades. (Associated Press)
