Outflow: Outward-Focused Living in a Self-Focused World
By Steve Sjogren and Dave Ping

Group, 2006, 235 pages, $39.99 (pastor kit), $24.99 (small-group leader kit), www.group.com/outflow

Co-authors Steve Sjogren and Dave Ping describe Outflow as an “Out of the Salt Shaker meets Purpose-Driven Life meets Campus Crusade for Christ.” It is included in two of the four Outflow kits, taking readers on a five-week outreach exploration. Sjogren and Ping have authored and co-authored numerous books and training courses.

Outflow includes straightforward daily readings sprinkled with inspiring stories, Bible verses, and enlightening quotes. Each reading challenges you to “get your feet wet” through hands-on experiences and asks personal questions in “the reflection pool.”

The concepts are simple enough for a young audience to understand, but the insight crosses age boundaries. The integration of reflective readings with a clear and specific call to action sets this book apart from its counterparts.
