Greenkill YMCA Retreat Center

At the Tail-end of the Catskill Mountains, the Greenkill Retreat Center provides a natural setting for a wide range of groups: corporate, non-profit, educational, religious, spiritual, social, youth, families, weddings, birthdays, the list is endless. The camp is situated on 1,000 acres of wooded trails, crossing streams and overlooking lakes and waterfalls.

The Mary French Rockefeller Building boasts nine rooms in all, including a 250-seat auditorium, 100-seat meeting/activity room, library, and wildlife observatory. Coffee and tea are available in the Welcome Center 24-hours a day. Conduct group games or presentations in activity rooms. Hold lectures, exercise classes, or performances in the carpeted auditorium with stage and sound system. Officials can provide white boards, flip charts, markers, TV/VCR/DVD/CD, projection, mics, podium and more. This building also has free wireless Internet.

The Sports Center features a 110' x 140' sport floor with basketball, volleyball, and floor hockey as just some of the offerings. There are also outdoor basketball and tennis courts near the full-length soccer field.

Whether you’re looking for team-building, crafts, games, or outdoor education programs, our trained staff of Naturalist Instructors can add a special dimension to your stay. If you are looking for a challenge, book a day on our High Ropes Adventure Course, which takes participants 40-feet into the trees and down a 200-foot zip line. During warmer months, enjoy an afternoon canoe session or a trip up Thorne Mountain, a 30-foot outdoor climbing tower. Cooler months allow for snow-skiing, tubing, snowshoeing, and ice fishing.

Three lodge styles offer 250 winterized beds (mostly bunks). The four basic dorms each comfortably sleep four to ten guests per room with shared bath across the hall (max cap: 48). Maple Lodge accommodates 48 guests in rooms of four, each with private bath. Kleinstuber Lodge has 10 double-occupancy rooms with private bath (good for group leaders; can be booked by the room). Well-balanced meals are served buffet-style in the dining hall overlooking Lake Marling. Special dietary needs are accommodated whenever possible (please inquire).
