Camp Quaker Haven was begun and has served through the years as a place for people to come aside, away from the routine of daily life, and meet with God in an outdoor setting. Apart from the pressures of the outside world, people may be better able to hear the call of God. Camp Quaker Haven thrives because all people are unique, and our facilities offer a unique blend of outdoor encounters for individuals and groups, large or small. Our programs aim toward building confident individuals who understand their own capabilities through the power of Christ. It is a part of our purpose to lead each person into an understanding and acceptance of God's call on their lives.

Camp Quaker Haven is the official camp site for Mid-America Yearly Meeting, which is composed of Friends Churches in Kansas, Texas, Oklahoma and Colorado. Quaker Haven also runs several inter denominational summer camps for High School and Junior High aged youth. Our goal is to blend the natural beauty of God's creation with the awesome message of God's word. Campers are challenged to stretch and grow in their understanding of God as creator, and to discover His work in each individual. Campers leave knowing they are special to us and to God. Crucial to our success are these three priorities:
1.Providing mature staff to create a safe environment with the maximum potential for fun and growth;
2.Well designed programming that incorporates the natural beauty of our surroundings with the challenges of the outdoor and uses active learning models to stimulate discovery;
3.A clear presentation of God's Word by regionally and nationally known speakers and musicians.
Our hope is that campers be encouraged to move one step closer to knowing who God is and how He wants to be involved in their lives. As one of our t-shirts says, "Step Outside Yourself".
