Camp Metoche

Camp Metoche is a ministry of the First Missionary Baptist Church of Bellflower and its partner churches. Our mission is to provide facilities and services for the use of church and service groups in the Southern California area, providing a beautiful, serene environment for personal reflection and spiritual renewal.

During Fall, Winter, and Spring the camp has a maximum capacity for 210 people, and during the Summer months our maximum capacity rises to 305.

The use of our facilities include a large heated pool (in season), volleyball, basketball courts and ping-pong tables.

Our indoor facilities include a large picturesque dining hall with forced air heat, and a cozy fireplace which is delightful after a winter day filled with sledding and snow play. There are twenty-seven cabins clustered around modern restrooms and shower facilities.

Other amenities include an amphitheater suitable for outdoor services, plays, and concerts. Our snack bar is fully stocked for your enjoyment with fountain drinks, candies, nachos, and homemade beef jerky.

We also have a separate Chapel/Meeting room, a Cedar Hall meeting room, and a friendly staff to serve your needs.

Our fees vary with group size, season, number of days/nights, and meals. There is an additional charge for certified Lifeguards. Check with our Director for updated costs. When canoeing on Jenks Lake Certified Lifeguards must supervise. A complete fee sheet is available upon request.
