www.bakerbooks.comPutman’s wrestling background and unique calling make him the perfect ambassador for this message of team church. A good case is made for the neglect of shepherding in the American church in light of the “show” mentality.
This serious call to laystaff and full-time church workers should be well received and heeded. The best part of this book is the reminder the church should be a roster full of like-minded individuals who all are participating in the mission of the team: to win and disciple the lost (
Eph. 4:12). Putman encourages all to use their gifts to further God’s kingdom while participating in the team effort. This is a great read and wonderful reminder.
