What Do I Say to a Friend Who’s Gay?

What Do I Say to a Friend Who’s Gay?
By Emily Parke Chase

Kregel Publications, 125 pp., 2006, $9.95, www.kregel.com

What do I Say to a Friend Who’s Gay? tackles a controversial and thus frequently neglected area of ministry. In 125 pages Chase scratches the surface of the vast topic and tries to put a face on the discussion with personal stories and first-person accounts. Theo book also is dedicated to related issues such as handling rumors that you, yourself, are gay.

Although it’s an easy read, the book offers disappointingly few nuggets of applicable advice or functional ideas. The few it does offer are intermixed with loosely connected narratives that will probably leave you with more questions than when you started.
