Ginny Owens - Fingerprint Project

The Lincoln Village Preservation Corporation partnered with Ginny on her latest Christmas album, Bring Us Peace. Ginny participated in several events throughout December 2006 to help raise awareness and support to improve the housing conditions of families in the Lincoln Mill Village area in Huntsville, Alabama.
Bring Us Peace was released in November 2006 and was Ginny’s first Christmas project. It was used to raise funds for her non-profit The Fingerprint Initiative, which Ginny founded in 2005 as a non-profit service organization with the mantra: “Bringing hope to the world one touch at a time.”
“The heat of the Fingerprint is to serve in our local communities and around the world. We’ve built Habitat houses, raised support to aid in freeing slaves, and visited families in third-world countries. Every day I realize how much more needs to be done,” she said.
Purposes of the Fingerprint Initiative include:
Aiding in the creation and development of humanitarian programs to benefit the needs of individuals and communities as Christ would do.
Working alongside of, and providing, support for other non-profit organizations engaged in such programs.
Partnering with concertgoers and fans to provide financial and physical aid to specific non-profit organizations, communities, or individuals whose needs directly relate to Fingerprint’s annual focus and themes upon adoption of its annual theme.
The fingerprint Initiative’s work will be divided into two dimensions-Fingerprint projects and Fingerprint Events.
