I highly recommend this powerful book for childhood sexual abuse survivors. A survivor herself, Bromley writes from a place of healing and courage.
Breathe is about healthy relationship building once healing has begun. It's about learning to be free, learning to talk about it and learning to trust people and God.
Bromley begins each chapter with a Bible story about someone who suffered so survivors "can know you are not alone and that God cares about your pain and wants to help you through it." Chapters end with "A Life Letter" from a survivor or parent/spouse of one.

If a person hadn't gone through counseling for childhood sexual abuse, I would first recommend Bromley's
Hush, in which she "exposes the harsh realities of childhood abuse, explains the pain it causes, examines the false beliefs it creates and empowers survivors to begin a personal journey toward healing by breaking the silence."
