Love, Sacrifice

According to a recent news story, a man in Bakersfield, Calif. began walking 150 miles to Los Angeles to prove his love. He got the idea after a late night phone conversation with his girlfriend. She thinks he may be crazy. Evidently their relationship began as a friendship and the walk is an attempt to prove his love for her. The man plans to ask his girlfriend to marry him when he arrives. He wants to give her a story to tell their children about.

At press time, the end of the story is not known. But, we know an ever greater love story. We think of the trip Jesus made from heavenly glory to become one of us, serve us and ultimately die for us. How will Jesus’ story turn out? That depends on you.
