The video game industry raked in almost as much money as the film industry during the 2007-08 fiscal year. Gaming software grew 38 percent and accounted for $26.5 billion in sales through March of this year (when the fiscal year ended), compared to $26.7 billion for the movie industry. Most experts see more rapid rises on the way. Analyst Daniel Ernst believes gaming software revenue will grow by another 31 percent this fiscal year. (GameDaily)
