Today’s pop culture moral: Don’t make birds angry. They just might try to take over the world.  The makers of the popular mobile game Angry Birds say they hope to turn their innocent little pastime into a massive worldwide franchise on a par with Mickey Mouse and Mario. Andrew Stalbow, a senior executive at Rovio Entertainment, says the company hopes to introduce Angry Birds to 1 billion people (the game’s already been downloaded 400 million times); and Rovio has successfully leveraged its foul-humored fowl to market everything from cakes to sneakers. The company hopes to release an Angry Birds-themed cookbook and its own series of cartoon shorts soon. (NewsCore)
